Understanding the Importance of HVAC Services

Hello, my name is Alexander Tran. I am going to talk to you about HVAC services available for commercial and residential buildings. The HVAC system only seems to receive attention when it stops working as intended. Otherwise, many building owners simply ignore the components that keep the system running. To truly make the most of the HVAC system, it is important to secure regular furnace and air conditioning services from a qualified professional. At the very least, these devices require cleaning and filter replacement to stay in good shape. Please visit my site often to learn about all of the ways you can keep your heating and cooling equipment maintained. Thanks for visiting.

5 Common Radiator Problems That Need Heating Repair Services

Heating radiators have been in American homes for a long time because they work through a simple design. Instead of blowing air through ducts like in forced induction systems, they radiate heat from a series of pipes with hot water. As a result, radiators offer better heat distribution, especially in smaller homes. However, radiators also require occasional maintenance and repair visits. If you need help with heating issues caused by your radiator, you can hire a professional to troubleshoot and repair the problem. So, what are some of these problems?

1. Faulty Thermostat The thermostat lets you set the temperature of their home. This is usually located on the control panel of the heating system. A faulty thermostat could cause overheating or cause inadequate heating if water is not heating to the right temperature. You need a technician to test and fix thermostat problems when the heating system does not respond to adjustments.

2. Air Pockets in the Radiator Radiators are made up of several tubes that look similar to hoses. Sometimes air pockets form in the pipes. The air pockets block heated water from flowing efficiently. As a result, you will notice the radiator's top section is cold while the bottom is hot. The heating repair technician usually solves this problem by 'bleeding' the radiator.

3. Sludge and Debris Blockages Due to the age of older homes, there can be sludge and debris in the pipes that lead to the heating system. If a blockage occurs, it means there is no or low flow of heated water. The heating repair service will flush out the system with a non-toxic solution to fix this problem.

4. Home Radiator Leak

Radiator leaks are often caused by corrosion. Common leak points are at pipe joints or valve connections. Leakages translate to loss of heated water and hence slower heating. It also causes mold infestation. The technician will remedy this problem by applying sealers. But more extensive corrosion may require a piping overhaul.

5. Faulty Diverter Valve

A diverter valve is a device used to direct fluid flow to the taps or the heating radiators. When it is faulty, you will notice you get hot water from the taps, but there is no heat from the radiators. The problem could be a stuck valve. You need a heating service technician to fix this problem and restore the correct flow.
